OUR STUDIO
An interior design studio on the Outer Banks
Danielle Gearhart Interiors is an interior design studio on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We work with homeowners from Nags Head to Corolla to design interiors that honor the integrity of your home’s architecture, endure time and tide, and embody the nuances of your likes, loves, and life.
Let’s design your home, together.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Where coastal is a setting, not a style
We forgo stereotypical coastal decor in the name of enduring design: Homes that feel both lived in and luxuriant, thoughtfully layered and deeply personal. We weave you through your home. What you like, who you love, and how you live, for a home that could only ever be yours.
MEET DANIELLE
A contemporary perspective on coastal living
Design has been the pulse of Danielle’s life since she was a little girl decorating her bedroom with objects found and made. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City with her degree in Fashion Business Management, Danielle became a home goods buyer on the Outer Banks. An innate talent for visual merchandising quickly found her assisting the Outer Banks’ most reputable interior designers.
With a contemporary perspective on coastal living and exacting standards for every detail, Danielle quickly outgrew her assistant title, founding Danielle Gearhart Interiors in 2022. Since then, she’s designed some of the Outer Banks most notable beach houses with her trademark warmth, thoughtful layering, and deeply personal touches. She views the home as a whole and collaboration as essential to bettering her craft.
She can’t wait to collaborate with you.
A more intentional approach to interiors
-
We Make the Details Matter
We plan every home with an exacting eye for the details. From light switch placements to cabinetry clearances, we consider details most overlook, solving design problems before they become project expenses and making your home feel effortless to live in and move through.
-
We Make Space for Better Ideas
We have an industry reputation for being easy to work with—because we work collaboratively. We invite the perspectives of our contractors, trades, and you because we know our work is bettered by the ideas we can’t see for ourselves. And the best ideas always win, no matter whose.
-
We Make Homes that Endure
Timeless isn’t only an aesthetic—it’s an ethos of material integrity. We work exclusively with natural materials that stand the test of time, from marble floors that soften underfoot to copper range hoods that patina from salt air. Materials that endure generations, maturing with age.

We Make Your Priorities Ours
We want you to love your home—because you will be the one living in it. So, we design without ego or agenda. We invite you into the creative process while guiding it with expertise and an exacting eye. We listen and iterate until every detail feels as if it could only ever belong to you.
